Un altro “lone wolf“, un altro lupo solitario. Dopo il marocchino fermato a Brescia mentre progettava un attentato alla sinagoga di Milano, spunta fuori in Francia il killer di Al Qaeda che spara agli ebrei nelle scuole e ai soldati francesi all’uscita della caserme.
E’ vero, Mohammed Merah dice di aver accettato una “missione di Al Qaeda”. Il ministro francese dell’Interno Claude Gueant ha raccontato che il giovane sostiene addirittura di aver rifiutato di commettere un attentato suicida ma di aver accettato dall’organizzazione terroristica una “missione generale” per un attentato in Francia durante il suo soggiorno in Pakistan. Missioni generali? Rifiuto di farsi saltare? Loquacità con la polizia? C’è qualcosa che non convince in questo ragazzo. E’ anche se lui dice di far parte dell’organizzazione del fu Osama, è più probabile che, ammesso che Al Qaeda abbia ancora un’organizzazione, i suoi capi non lo sappiano.
L’impressione è dunque quella di trovarsi di fronte a un altro cane sciolto, magari davvero addestrato dai Taliban in Afghanistan: abbastanza per sapere come procurarsi e come usare un Ak 47, come individuare ed eliminare un obiettivo, ma non abbastanza per far perdere le proprie tracce. Il fatto che sia stato individuato subito è significativo: non per togliere nulla alla polizia francese, scatenata da un Sarkozy in piena campagna elettorale, ma per arrivare ai complici di Mohammed Atta c’è voluto un pò di più. Il killer di Tolosa invece potrebbe essersi tradito per far ridipingere lo scooter in una carrozzeria mentre tutta la Gendarmerìe, per l’appunto, cercava un assassino su uno scooter. Al Qaeda? Siamo lontani anni luce dai freddi pianificatori dell’attacco alle Torri.
No, questa è un’altra generazione di terroristi, cresciuti a Jihad e Facebook, se possibile più spaventosi perchè molto più imprevedibili. Non rispondono a nessuno se non a un generico impegno di eliminazione dell’infedele che individuano con criteri imperscrutabili. I loro maestri li trovanosul web. Il loro covo si chiama Internet, la loro base è un pc. L’antiterrorismo dovrà assumere degli hacker con i controattributi se vorrà vincere questa guerra.
